This concept design aimed to create a modern, family-friendly garden that would provide a ‘wow’ factor while remaining low-maintenance. The existing garden, wide but shallow, featured an imposing fence and raised beds to address a level change, with an existing deck that the client wanted to replace with a ground-level entertainment space.

The design included a louvered pergola and a feature wall, clad in Corten Steel, with a built-in fireplace as the central focal point of the entertainment area. The layout was simplified, improving the retaining wall and maximizing the play space for the young family.

Along the garden side return, a pergola arch with a swing added a fun element, creating a playful space for the family.

The concept design included 2D masterplan, 3D perspective drawings and mood board, which the client loved, ensuring the vision came to life in a way that perfectly suited their needs and the available space.
